A government instituted by geniuses (The Founders), maintained by idiots (Politicians), operated by imbeciles (Bureaucrats). With a track record like that it is surprising we have lasted this long.

Give Ike a hug for me. My Ike, GSD has passed but he took great care of dad. No one but no one was going to harm his 'Dad'. Not watching msm now going on 7 years really keeps more fresh air moving around the brain. I enjoyed taking the tv outside and doing a Elvis on it. One shot. Mike & Ike.

Mike Rowe talks about this all the time, we have a huge number of people who just have seemingly dropped out of the workforce. What are they doing? Apparently they are living off credit cards and handouts, because every place is short-staffed and when they do hire someone they have a tough time getting them to bother showing up to work. The big difference between now and 1930s Germany is the whole issue of half a billion guns in private hands.

I've been saying for awhile now that the Chinee are likely behind a lot of what is going on between RU and USA. Many incl. Prof John Meersheimer have said that the logical course of action of the US would be to ally with Russia (remember that they once asked to join NATO) against China, since Russia doesn't have the demographics to be a true threat to the US. China OTOH is a threat to both the US and Russia. Russia is a declining power with more land than people; China is a rising power with more people than land. Historically, this doesn't end well for the declining power.

Of course there are the many signs that those in power in the US are heavily influenced by China, from a chauffeur of a congresswomen for 20 years that turned out to be a Chinese agent to congressmen sleeping with Chinese agents.

I disagree with your implication that things will collapse into anarchy in any way. There is always a slight chance, but by far the most likely scenario is things continuing to get worse and worse until full tyranny is reached. Then it will probably be a long grind for many decades, perhaps centuries. Things aren't getting worse because the globalists are losing control, but because they are gaining control and are using that control to make things worse... which leads to people begging them to take more control to fix the problems that they caused in the first place. Which has been the plan all along. Someone here already mentioned the Cloward-Piven strategy.

At least you've got someone reliable to ride shotgun with you, Doc. Don't know what I'd do without mine, but one day too soon I'll find out. All the best. Merry Christmas and God Bless!

The State Capital is no longer recognizable to me. Everything has moved out to Rankin and Madison counties. There were bad places when I was a kid. I worked at a Restaurant on Terry Road that was frequently robbed in the Seventies but I was never bothered walking around downtown at night.

What has happened to the City of my Birth is starting to happen nationwide. A visiting doctor here in Charlotte was shot and killed by a stray bullet walking from his hotel to a luncheon uptown at noon.

We live in interesting times indeed.

I hope they were your employees. Employed by you. Even then - subordinates demanding you buy them all lunch is frankly offensive.

Otherwise they need to hit up their own bosses /hospital who they work for.

I hear you on the deductibles too. Their poor planning for the year doesn’t make it your responsibility to bust ass to accommodate them.

The worst are the parasites hitting you up for freebie /discounted services bc they CHOSE an insurance plan with a high $10,000 deductible. Tuff titties. Your job isn’t to subsidize their risk taking and bad decisions.

Hey Henry, first off, kudos for the "Get Home Bag" and the supervisor looking after the contents. I hope that you are spinning up on battlefield medicine in your spare time. There are a good many that will need your skill plugging holes in inconvenient places. Remember, your role in all of this is NOT to fling vitamin "L," unless absolutely necessary. It is to keep all of the vitamin "L" flingers in flinging shape.
