Throughout the Cold War, the US was preparing for a conventional war that would never come. The ChiComs were fighting a whole different kind of war and they pretty much have won it.

Any people whose main attributes are sloth, greed and ignorance; who outsource their entire manufacturing base to mostly hostile entities while importing mostly hostile, culturally inferior aliens, have a horrible day of reckoning coming - and deserve it!

What's amusing is that these fools think they're exceptional.

Watching them getting bitch-slapped with an iron glove would be a cheap thrill if I didn't have to spend most of my time preparing to get very far away from them.

Interesting times are rapidly becoming serious survival times!

Hopefully you're preparing to use your precious skills to help mitigate the effects of the assured collapse that's on the way - a la Dr. Joe Alton, his wife and other survival concious medical staff.

I know the minute I get a email from the Doctor it will inform me and make me smile. Dark humor is used by those of us who don' t dare to start crying. For then how will we stop?

Good one, Doc. Political Moonshine is, IMO, a really good source to check with. I think he's in your neck of the woods, but don't know for sure. He was able to come up with some good stuff early on in the COVID campaign. It's been awhile. Think I might need to drop in.

Take care of yourself and your fam. For the sake of all of you, even if you're not directly affected, hopefully they get the water fixed soon because it can definitely become a bigger problem. We'll see if the gilded mayor actually get's what he deserves for ignoring it in favor of more "politically expedient" and beneficial (to himself) issues.

Great post. I haven't bothered to do much research on Covid once I knew enough to make an informed decision. But it's nice to have a bunch of links in 1 spot just in case I feel like getting in an argument with someone over it.

I've been waking up to the China threat slowly. It's not the obvious stuff, but the things under the surface.

Most threatening is the fact that they are ruled by rational people who actually care about China rising up, rather than simply benefitting themselves personally. This is why they adopted the American Economic System that leads to nations becoming powerful rather than the Globalist system which leads to individuals getting massively wealthy while regular people and nations suffer.

Fantastic article on this:

The reason this is so threatening is that if China manages to create the kind of nation they are intentionally trying to bring about, they will become a global superpower. Even if China was completely benevolent right now, being a global superpower would lead to them inevitably becoming non-benevolent, according to the Realist school of international politics. Prof. John Mearsheimer has a lot of great videos on YT about this sort of thing.

Of course, China is not benevolent right now.

In trying to analyze the Ukraine fiasco, I asked the ancient question, "quo bono?" Initially I thought that the US would benefit the most, Russia benefitting a fair amount as well, with everyone else involved getting screwed, especially us regular people. Then I realized that the biggest beneficiary would be a nation that wasn't involved, China. As Prof. John Mearsheimer has said, if the US was rational we would have allied w/ Russia (declining power) against China, since China is the only real threat to the US and it's also a threat to Russia.

Instead, to a degree that almost seems intentional we push China and Russia together. Now in Ukraine we are crippling Russia in such a way that it guarantees that they become the weaker partner, leaving China as the senior partner in their rising coalition. Even as we shriek about Russia being a tyranny that needs stopping at any cost while sending 10s of billions to counter them, we also continue to offshore our manufacturing to China. Almost like it was intentional that we weaken ourselves and Russia while at the same time strengthening China...

Once one realizes that China controls or at least heavily influences many of our important politicians, it becomes obvious that such things don't just seem intentional, they likely are intentional.
