The Khaleesi has expressed concern that my most eloquent rants on this forum are an outgrowth of my lugubrious demeanor following therapeutic intake of two-carbon fragments. Not to worry, dear readers, it’s only after a hard day, or week, at work. Today's selection is a bit peaty, single-malt and, well, an ACQUIRED taste. Doubt I’ll repeat the purchase, though…

There's a lot going on around us right now, so much that it almost feels like a broken power line sparking on the asphalt, careening around, diffuse and threatening. It’s hard to focus on one particular facet of the events in play; there are so many balls in the air. I mean, hell, people, we have saber-rattlers threatening nuclear Armageddon over conflicts with morons like this…

Seriously, should we have ANY faith in the future? I know that sounds a bit plaintive and, well, whiney (is there really an “e” in that?), but think about it….looking around, what does one have in hand to place confidence in? The economy? Shank. Science? Nix. Medicine? Zip. Nada. Religion (not to be confused with faith)? Zero. Government? Hoo, boy.

I came of age in rural Texas, a small town of 900, honor student, Eagle Scout and all the trappings, clean-Marine-fall-on-a-grenade-for-God-and-country, and my life followed all the rules, from attending the right university to getting married and having beautiful children (kids, I DO love you) and being the best damned surgical resident you could imagine, work til you drop, three bags full, SIR! May I have another? I did everything I ever thought was asked of me or I was supposed to. If I broke a rule and it went unnoticed, I couldn't sleep. To this day, I struggle with it. I swear, this was me in Dallas last weekend at a meeting. I was trying to push open a door that needed pulling.

I have always held that there were four classes of people. There is an ELITE Class. The puritanical naivete in me assumed that this meant moral, intellectual, scientific, legal and financial elite. You know, the great minds contributing to an even greater good. That’s small-town Texas boy pie-in-the-sky bullshit. Nowadays that just means people with money, big money. F$%k You money. Our culture and society is so irretrievably debased that it’s all “elite” means any longer. You know, Bezos, Gates, Soros. Pond scum like that. Not groundbreakers like Solzhenitsyn or Tesla, even Jobs. More like grifters such as Musk, who funds himself with government contracts and builds products that are logically and logistically unsustainable.

Then there's the POLITICAL class.. These are the Clintons, Bushes, Obamas, Bidens and on down the line who desperately want to be welcomed into the Elite Class and will leave no bone unsmooched in their quest to do so. They exist shamelessly in every locale, at every level of political influence. They make a little money in office, but not F$%k You money. Just a few millions, like Bennie Thompson. Or a few hundred, like the Gin Hag Pelosi. What they crave most is entry into the Club. Few make it, but they mostly retire comfortably and bluster pathetically about their service and honor. They could be equivalently described as the PARASITE Class. They unashamedly manipulate the third group, the DEPENDENT Class. These people are part of the faceless, nameless hordes who just want the gibs and will march, protest, burn, loot, riot and VOTE (or lend their identity) to keep those gibs flowing. De Tocqueville stated that this is where democracy ends. Freedom, too…

The fourth, and last, class? The PRODUCER class. The group, like me, that keeps the gears grinding. You know, the tax slaves. Many of us are apparently white supremacists and violent domestic terrorists, but not exclusively so. Funny thing is, our numbers are shrinking on a relative basis. One consequence of the Covidiocy is the destruction of the vaunted American work ethic. No one wants to work anymore. No work, less production…

The political class doesn’t want a work ethic. It’s become inconvenient. Messy. Andrew Yang ran for the Democratic nomination on expanding the Free Shit Army

A visionary, they say. There’s no better way to destroy a man's sense of self-worth than by taking away his sense of contribution. His independence. His family's NEED for him. Salvo touched upon this demasculinization….

https://americanmind.org/salvo/managed-dehumanization/

The burden on the productive grows a little each and every day. What will happen when they’re gone, buried by an inability to pedal ever faster

I love the movie Goodfellas. Ray Liotta's character, Henry Hill, spent his life trying to be something he would never be allowed to be…a made guy. He had some great lines in the film… this one was emblematic of the Clinton/Bush/Obama Class. .

But like most of the those aspiring to be in the Political (PARASITE) Class, Producer Henry Hill finally figured it out, in Witness Protection. He was just a schnook. .

I’m just a schnook. A well-compensated one, no doubt, but still, at my core, a schnook. Unlike Bruce Lee in Enter the Dragon, those of us toiling in the shadows, paying the bills, have no flair for the dramatic.

We just work, pay our bills, take care of our families and WANT TO BE LEFT ALONE. That’s why we will have 87,000 new armed IRS agents combing through our lives and finances.

The Elites are, in their minds, above the fray. The PARASITE Class does what they do to us because they think they can, believing we feel powerless and unable to alter the course of history. History shows that’s not always true

Somehow, the very worst among us are consistently elevated to positions of authority and responsibility. Then people wonder why we have double-digit inflation, looming nuclear conflict, energy shortages , supply-chain disruptions, and rampant degeneracy. These “leaders” in charge of things know, in their hearts, that many of us view them as the frauds they are, and they loathe it. I really, really enjoy that, their recognition that their machinations are but kabuki theater.

It can be corrected. It just takes patience, and resolve

Stay frosty, my friends.

The ratio is shifting and not favorable, too many parasites and dependents, not enough producers. Automation and AI isn't going to advance quickly enough to make up the difference and when the ratio hits the sweet spot? The wheels come off. Assuming of course we don't die in a nuclear fire first.

Preaching to the choir, I know, but Hayek: "Why the Worst Get on Top."
