Only thing I didn't get done before the freeze is getting a woodstove IN the house.

I really hope I'm not doing an install without electricity during a blizzard. I'm prepared for it, I can do it, but that doesn't mean I want the challenge.

Hell, that's the reason I quit snuff on Labor Day, after almost 30 years of use I didn't want to go through withdrawals during a potential 2- or 3-way shooting match with supply deliveries halted.

A large part of me is somewhat pleased to see the GOP implode in the midterms, rather than a few more years of gridlock. Should the House stay blue I expect to see the whole collapse accelerate and at my age my number of effective years is limited.

Hopefully things have leveled out for you now, Henry. This could be a very "interesting" holiday season. Checked the ports a little while ago, and it doesn't appear that TPTB are betting on us all buying a new Lexus this year. There is little activity anywhere around the lower 48 except Savannah for some reason. Lots of container ships hanging off in queue.

I understand they've got the Bankman-Fried commie/thief "under watch." Doesn't matter. The only reason Madoff served any time was because he pissed off the wrong people. Fried will slip away, or he will be found "hanging" by a piece of dental floss or something from his closet doorknob like a couple others in recent history. Most of his investors were of the same flavor, so they will all say nothing, lick each others wounds and simply lament they didn't have more to give for the Democratic party and the globalist banker collective. McConnell will say something empty and watch his next CCP royalty check deposited into his account in Shanghai. And the beat goes on.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Golly Henry (said like Gomer Pyle, not like Robin, "Golly Gee Batman"). I wanted to start writing after your first paragraph, but you just kept hitting homeruns. I guess the only thing I can do is offer my sportsball condolences. I hope they sports harder next time.
