Well, here I sit, contemplating yesterday's post that undoubtedly enflamed (yes, I meant with an “e” rather than an “i”) some folks. That’s okay. My good friend Arthur from Dissident Thoughts https://www.arthursido.com/Thanks for reading Doctor Samizdat! Subscribe for free to receive new posts and support my work.
As Jackson's water crisis demonstrated, it isn't just medicine. Many/most of the systems we rely on for a civil society are chugging away, patched together with duct tape and only a significant disruption away from complete collapse.
After 27 years of being an excellent pharmacist, my wife was told that her services were no longer needed as she was unvaccinated. We are at the point in life that she doesn’t have to work, so she isn’t. Hard working tax payer to not because our Government is stupid.
There is a persistent danger in systems and procedures including medical. Once a process commonly understood ceases to be utilized it is typically lost forever. The material is shunted away for lack of use. The people that knew how to use the material drift off to other occupations and so that means of product or service disappears. That is happening right now in Germany. The steel mills are shutting down due to energy costs. Likely many will never restart as the capital cost for refurbishment of the furnaces prior to production is too high.
47 years a doctor. They don't let me touch anything sharp, I just think about things - but I'm a good thinker. Whenever I run into a former colleague still alive and working, the first question that comes up is, "how long until the collapse?" Laypeople, even ones who follow "healthcare issues", have no idea how close we are.
Had a false alarm over fourth of July. Finally they, a supposed "Heart Hospital" called in an outsource heart cath crew. 3 days of clown world and they wanted me to stay 2 more days till I guess an in house crew was available. Fourth of July when its hot and a lot of over weight beer drinking people are active and they don't have a heart cath crew on duty.
Been reading about stories like this. Whole different ballgame to experience it. Stay out of the emergency room if you can.
"Atlas Shrugged" anyone? Who is John Galt? My eldest son left a Nurse Tech position in our local ECC over the vax mandate.
Name one institution that isn't in the toilet. But the medical industry is a whopper.

Slowly, then all at once...?
...whelp guess having only the VA for my primary med care means I am well and -truly- fucked.
